#Royalty free straight outta compton remake movie #Royalty free straight outta compton remake full The story of NWA isn't just one of rap music it's one of free artistic expression and the literal fight against racism and oppression in late-'80s/early-'90s California. They became the most notorious superstars on the planet while holding each other in various degrees of contempt and battling the government and censors to just have their music played. Their story is uniquely cinematic in a way that most biopics are not. #Royalty free straight outta compton remake full It's a sad tale, full of infamy and chaos that climaxed in implosion, vicious insults, and ultimately death. When it comes to NWA, there is no big celebratory moment, there is no heartwarming story of triumph. If Straight Outta Compton is done right, it will be unlike any other music biopic you've ever seen. A reunion could mean either a tour or some new music, but a reunion in whatever form would be incredibly exciting, especially if the film is a hit and NWA is on everybody's lips once again. #Royalty free straight outta compton remake movie Dre, has even suggested that, should the movie be a success, and the demand there, we could see an NWA reunion in the near-future, which is massive news for hip-hop, considering the surviving members of the group haven't collaborated since 2000 on 'Hello,' off Ice Cube's sixth album. Ice Cube, who's producing the movie with fellow former NWA member Dr. We have to wait until August 2015 to find out, but filming begins this very week. Hollywood might be more inclined to put faith in black-led movies. It would be huge for black cinema if a movie that doesn't star Denzel Washington or Tyler Perry went on to make big box office revenue. There's a lot depending on Straight Outta Compton to succeed, on both a critical and commercial level. But the upcoming Straight Outta Compton, the story of the rise and ultimate self-destruction of pioneering rap group NWA, has the potential to give a genre that plays it by the numbers some attitude. The failure to faithfully represent the musician's artistry in a convincing way and the standard narrative of eventually overcoming personal turmoil for mass success are the two most common traits music biopic flops share. Biopics about musical icons have always produced mixed results.
